If you receive a "Not enough system memory" error, please follow the steps listed below.
1. Close applications using Task Manager
- Press [Ctrl + Shift + Esc] to open Task Manager.
- Close any unnecessary background applications.
2. Increase virtual memory
- Go to Control Panel → Go to System and Security → Go to System → Go to Advanced System Settings → Open the Advanced tab → Go to Performance → Go to Settings → Go to Advanced → Go to Virtual Memory → Click [Change]
- Set virtual memory to 1.5 times the amount of your PC's RAM and save your changes.
3. Install the latest version of your graphics driver and perform a clean installation
- Download the latest version of your graphics driver from your graphics card manufacturer's website.
4. Update your device driver to the latest version
- Check if your BIOS or chipset drivers are updated to the latest version.
- Go to your motherboard or PC manufacturer's website to download and install drivers.
5. Remove temporary files
- Press [Windows + X] → Open Run dialog box → Enter services.msc → Click [OK]
- Disable the following services.
- Background Intelligent Transfer Service
- Cryptographic Services
- Windows Update
- Go to the C:\Windows folder and delete the SoftwareDistribution folder.
- Go to the C:\Windows\System32 folder and delete the catroot2 folder.
- Restart the previously disabled services.
6. Run a disk check
- Right-click the start button → Run the Command Prompt as administrator.
- Type chkdsk /r and press [Enter].
- Schedule check disk for the next restart.
7. Verify game file integrity
- Go to your Steam Library → Right-click the game → Go to Properties → Go to Installed Files → Select [Verify integrity of game files].
8. Adjust in-game graphics settings
- Lower memory usage by lowering texture quality and disabling additional visual effects
9. Upgrade RAM
- If you continue experiencing memory issues, consider upgrading your RAM.
10. Free up disk space in your C drive
